Children of Unknown Allerton:

  1. Isaac Allerton must have been born about 1583. [Ref] He died before 12 Feb 1658/9 in New Haven. [Ref] Isaac Allerton of London married first Mary Norris on 4 Nov 1611 in Leyden. [Ref] She died on 25 Feb 1620/1. [Ref] He married second Fear, the daughter of William Brewster, about 1626. [Ref] She died before 12 Dec 1634 in Plymouth. [Ref] He married third Johanna Unknown. [Ref]
    Isaac settled in Leyden about 1608 or 1609. [Ref] He was the fifth signer of the Mayflower compact on 11 Nov 1620, after John Carver, William Bradford, Edward Winslow and William Brewster; he is only one of nine signers to rate a "Mr." in front of his name. [Ref] He was chosen Assistant to Gov. William Bradford in 1621. [Ref]

SARAH ALLERTON of Leyden, South Holland, the Netherlands and Plymouth

Parents: Unknown Allerton

Sarah Allerton married first John Vincent of London on 4 Nov 1611 in Leyden; the same day that her brother Isaac was married. [Ref] She married second Degory Priest on 13 Nov 1621 in Leyden. [Ref] She and their two daughters did not accompany Degory on the Mayflower, but remained in Leyden where she was later called Sarah Allerton, the widow of Degory Priest, and where she married third Cuthbert Cuthbertson. [Ref][Ref] She and Cuthbert went to Plymouth in 1623 on the Anne. Both Sarah and Cuthbert died before 24 Oct 1623, when their inventories were taken. [Ref]
