    Milton graduated from Brown University in 1828 and from the Harvard Medical School in 1831. [J]
    In 1850 Milton, 42, and Lydia A., 39, lived in Woodstock. Milton was a physician with real estate worth $3,900. [C1850] In 1860 Milton, 52, and Lydia A., 49, were living in Woodstock.   3. Nancy Maria Morse was born on 29 Aug 1816. [L, p. 287] She married Earl C. Briggs about 1840. [L, p. 287] Earl was the son of Nathaniel and Betsey Briggs. [MVR] He was born in 1814 in Woodstock [MVR]. He died on 20 Jun 1885, age 70 years and seven months, in New Bedford of "paralysis". [MVR]

Earl was the keeper of the alms house and had a personal estate of $10,500.
