Some Descendants of John Clark (John, William) and Sarah Goodwin of Middletown, Connecticut

1. Capt. Ebenezer Clark was born on 12 Jul 1711 in Middletown. [CVR] He died in Apr 1800, age 89, and is buried in Washington, Litchfield, Connecticut. [HMCC, p. 104] He married first Abigail Whitmore on 21 Jun 1733 in Middletown. [CVR] She was the daughter of Joseph and Hannah Whitmore, Sr. of Middletown. [HMCC, p. 104] Abigail, the wife of Ebenezer, died on 9 Apr 1738 in Middletown. [CVR] Ebenezer married second Ann Warner on 20 Sep 1739 in Middletown. [CVR] She was born about 1716. She died on 3 Mar 1795, age 79. [HMCC, p. 104]
   Ebenezer moved to East Hampton (Chatham) with his father and was a captain of the militia there and one of the first deacons of the church. [HMCC, p. 104] About 1756 he moved to Judea Parish in what is now Washington. [HMCC, p. 104]
2. William Clark was born on 31 Aug 1713 in Middletown. [CVR] He died on 26 Sep 1812, age 99, from the effect of a fall and old age. [HMCC, p. 104] He married Mary Wright on 7 Feb 1744 in Middletown. [CVR] She was born about 1720. She died on 16 Feb 1797, age nearly 77. [HMCC, p. 104]
3. Dea. John Clark was born on 9 Dec 1715 in Middletown. [CVR] He died on 8 Aug 1809, age 94. [HMCC, p. 104] John, Jr. married Sarah White on 1 Feb 1744 in Middletown. [CVR] She was born about 1724. She died on 26 Jun 1780, age 56. [HMCC, p. 104]
   John lived on his father's homestead and kept an ordinary or public house on the old bridle path from Providence to Middletown. [HMCC, p. 104] He was chosen deacon after his brother Ebenezer left the parish.
4. Moses Clark was born on 25 Mar 1718 in Middletown. [CVR]
5. Aaron Clark was born on 2 Mar 1720/1 in Middletown. [CVR] He married Mary White on 5 Nov 1747 in Middletown. [CVR]
6. Sarah Clark was born on 4 Aug 1723 in Middletown. [CVR] She married Ebenezer Hurlbut, Jr. [HMCC, p. 104] on 2 Nov 1743 in Middletown. [CVR]
