First Generation

NATHANIEL COVELL (d. c. 1682)

Parents:

Nathaniel Covell died about 1682. [Ref, p. 89] He married Sarah Nickerson between 15 Jan 1661/2 and 4 Jul 1663. [Ref, p. 64-5]

Nathaniel moved to Monomoit with his father-in-law. In Jun 1674 the neighbourhood of Monomoit in Eastham was allowed a deputy constable and Nathaniel Covell was chosen. [Ref, p. 81]

Children of Nathaniel Covell:

1. Joseph Covell married Hannah Bassett
2. William Covell [Ref, p. 3.7]
   some descendants of William Covell

Second Generation

JOSEPH COVELL (COVEL)

Parents: Nathaniel Covell and Sarah Nickerson

Joseph Covell of Monomoy married Hannah Bassett on 1 Mar 1703/4 in Eastham. [Ref, 3;180]

Children of Joseph Covell and Hannah Bassett:

1. Sarah Covell married William Nickerson.
