1835 "7 Oct Wednesday [At Amherst] I walked to the chapel with Mr. Patten Johnson, 44 years old, [who] has one son 15 years old & a daughter 14 years old. His son has entered college ... Mr. Johnson has a brother, Amos, 42 years old."
