RICHARD ROCKET of Braintree

Parents:

Richard married first Agnes Unknown. Agnes died on 9 (5) 1643 in Braintree. [Ref] He married second Anne Unknown. The inventory of the estate of the widow Anne Rockwood of Braintree was taken on 1 Mar 1664; it amounted to £21.12.06. Anne's daughter Phebe's husband John Taylor deposed on 29 Apr 1664. [Ref]

1. John Rocket was born on 1 (10) 1641 in Braintree. [Ref]

1. Nicholas Rocket married Joan Unknown.
2. Phebe Rocket married John Taylor

Inventory on the estate of Richard Rockwood of Braintree was taken on 7 (6) 1660. It amounted to £38.03.04. Ann Rockwood deposed. One of the people paid out of the estate was John Rockwood. [Ref]

Nathaniel Rocket married Joanne Elles on 7 Dec 1698 in Wrentham [Ref].

William Man married Bethia Rocket on 1 Dec 1701 in Wrentham [Ref].

John George married Judith Rocket on 26 May 1703 in Wrentham [Ref].

Second Generation

NICHOLAS ROCKET of Medfield

Parents: Richard Rocket

Nicholas Rocket married first Joan Unknown. She died on 15 Dec 1654 in Medfield. [Ref] He married second Margaret Holbrook on 15 (5) 1656 in Medfield. [Ref]

Nicholas is in the Medfield section of the 23 May 1666 list of freemen. [Ref]

1. Josiah Rocket died between 31 Dec 1719 and 3 Nov 1727. He married Mary Twitchell [Ref] on 9 May 1677. [Ref 3;557]
   Josiah signed his will on 31 Dec 1719; it was proved on 3 Nov 1727. [Ref]

1. Benjamin Rocket (Rockwood) was born on 8 Sep 1651 in Medfield. He married Judith Ellis.

BENJAMIN ROCKET (ROCKWOOD) (b. 1651) of Medfield

Parents: Nicholas Rocket and Joan Unknown

Benjamin Rocket (Rockwood) was born on 8 Sep 1651 in Medfield. [Ref][Ref] He married Judith Ellis on 27 Sep 1678 in Medfield. [Ref]

Benjamin paid a shilling as part of Medfield's contribution to Harvard College in 1678. [Ref]

1. Judith Rocket was born on 17 Mar 1691 in Wrentham. She married first John George. She married second Eleazer Metcalf.
2. Mary Rocket was born on 2 Oct 1683 in Wrentham. [Ref]. She married Samuel Fisher on 16 Dec 1708 in Wrentham [Ref].
3. Patient Rocket was born in 1686 in Wrentham. [Ref].
4. Hezekiah Rocket was born on 26 Aug 1688 in Wrentham. [Ref].

JUDITH ROCKET (1691)

Parents: Benjamin Rocket (Rockwood) and Judith Ellis

Judith Rocket was born on 17 Mar 1691 in Wrentham. [Ref]. She married first John George of Dorchester on 26 May 1703 in Wrentham. John George died on 21 Sep 1704 in Wrentham. She married second Eleazer Metcalf on 15 Feb 1709/10 in Wrentham.

Children of Judith Rocket and John George:

1. Judith George was born on 14 April 1704 in Wrentham. She died in 1782.
