RICHARD SWAN of Rowley

Parents:

Richard Swan was buried on 14 May 1678 in Rowley. [Ref] He married first Ann Unknown. She was buried on 4 Apr 1658 in Rowley. [Ref] He married second as her third husband Ann Unknown. Ann was born about 1615/6, based on a deposition on 30 Mar 1675/6 that she was age 60. [Ref] She was buried on 23 Jul 1678 in Rowley. [Ref] She married first Michael Hopkinson. [Ref] He was buried on 28 Feb 1648. [Ref] She married second John Trumble in (6) 1650. [Ref]

Richard Swan signed his will on 25 Apr 1678; it was proved on 1 Apr 1679. He left bequests to his wife Ann; his son Robert Swan and Robert's son Richard; Elizabeth, Samuel and Sarah, the children of his son-in-law and daughter Stickney; his grandchild Richard Sutton; his four daughters Jane Wilson, Francis Quilter, Dorothy Chapman and Mercy Warner; his son-in-law Joseph Boynton and his wife Sarah. Inventory was taken on 22 May 1678; it amounted to pounds 486.19.09. [Ref]
