  1. Jedidiah Allen was born on 3 Jan 1646/7 in Sandwich and died on 21 Jan 1711/2 in Shrewsbury, Monmouth, New Jersey. [SGIF, p. 41] He died between 15 Sep 1711 and 6 Feb 1711/2. He married Elizabeth Howland by 1669. [GMB, p. 1019]
    In 1691 Jedidiah Allen sold his wife's sister's husband Robert Dennis 150 acres in Monmouth county, New Jersey. [RDRI, p. 416]
    Jedidiah "became a leading citizen of East Jersey". [GDTF, 3;2;79] A notable Quaker Quarterly Meeting was held in his orchard in Shrewsbury, Monmouth county. [GDTF, 3;2;79] He was a representative from Monmouth county to the General Assembly in in 1703. [GDTF, 3;2;79]
    Jedidiah Allen of Shrewsbury, Monmouth county, New Jersey signed his will on 15 Sep 1711; in was proved on 6 Feb 1711/2. Among others it names his wife Elizabeth and disposes of some property, including "a negro girl and a grindstone." [TFLI, p. 228] He named his daughter Mary Wells. [GDTF, 3;2;79]
    1. Mary Allen was born on 15 Nov 1681 in Sandwich, Barnstable, Massachusetts. [SGIF, p. 40] She married first Daniel Wells about 1706/7. [SGIF, p. 40] He died on 31 Jan 1715. [SGIF, p. 40] She probably married second Thomas Smith. [SGIF, p. 39] Thomas was born say 1672 and died in 1732 in Cape May county, New Jersey. [SGIF, p. 39] He married first Alathea Dayton about 1700/1. [SGIF, p. 39] Alathea, the daughter of Jacob and Ruth (Diament) Dayton, was born abut 1680 and died on 19 Dec 1714. [SGIF, p. 39] Thomas married third Abigail, the widow of Samuel Johnson. [SGIF, p. 39] Abigail was probably the daughter of Richard Swain, born 7 Feb 1683. [SGIF, p. 43]
      Daniel Wells was a Quaker. [SGIF, p. 40]
      Thomas Smith, yeoman of Cape May, signed his will on 28 Dec 1731; it was proved on 13 May 1732. [SGIF, p. 43] Among others he mentions his son Anthony Smith. [SGIF, p. 46]
      1. Anthony Smith was born on 26 Jul 1723. [SGIF, p. 65] He died in 1809 or 1810 in Greene county, Pennsylvania. [SGIF, p. 65] He married Lydia Willets after 16 May 1746 (lic.). [SGIF, p. 65] Lydia, the daughter of Timothy and Judith Willets, was born on 16 Jan 1726 and died after her husband signed his will on 3 Jun 1798. [SGIF, pp. 65-6]
        Anthony and Lydia became Quakers at Little Egg Harbor, Burlington, New Jersey in 1768. [SGIF, p. 65]
        1. Judith Smith was born on 9 May 1751. [ANAT, gives only the year][SGIF, p. 77] She died in 1836. [ANAT] She married first Jacob Burge. [ARMN] Jacob was born on 5 Apr 1743 and died before 3 Jun 1798. [SGIF, p. 77] She married second John Hank. [SGIF, p. 77]
          In his will Judith's father Anthony gave his daughter Judith Burge the right to live with her mother as long as she remained a widow. [SGIF, pp. 69-70]
          1. Jacob Burge was born on 28 Jan 1783. [ARMN, gives only the year][SGIF, p. 79] He died in 1862. [ARMN] He married Miriam Matthews [ARMN] on 9 Dec 1807. [SGIF, p. 79] Miriam was the daughter of William and Ann Matthews. [SGIF, p. 79] She was born on 8 Nov 1786. [ARMN, gives only the year][SGIF, p. 79] She died after 1860. [ARMN]
          • Oliver Burge was born on 28 Sep 1821. [ARMN, gives only the year] He died in 1908. [ARMN] He married Jane M. Hemingway [ARMN] on 29 Apr 1846. [SGIF, p. 79] Jane was the daughter of Hope Hemingway of Mahoning county, Ohio. [SGIF, p. 79] She was born on 30 Apr 1824 [ARMN, gives only the year] in Mahoning county. [RMNB, p. 23] She died on 5 Apr 1890 [ARMN, gives only the year] in Jennings county, Indiana. [RMNB, p. 23]
            • Almira Park Burge was born on 16 Sep 1849. [ARMN, gives only the year][SGIF, p. 79] She died in 1943. [ARMN] She married Franklin Milhous. [ARMN] He was born in 1848. [ARMN] He died in 1919. [ARMN] Almira was an ancestor or Richard Nixon.
