THOMAS WILLIAMS (d. 1696) of Eastham

Thomas Williams married Elizabeth Tate.

Thomas Williams of Eastham signed his will on 22 Oct 1696. It was proved on 30 Oct 1696. He left his grandchild John Smith his dwelling house, the land it was on and a parcel of land nearby. He left his grandchild William Nickerson, the son of John, one shilling "and no more". The rest of his estate he left equally to his four daughters Sarah, Marcy, Elizabeth and Mary and the children of his daughter Hannah Mulford. [Ref, 2;22-3]

  1. Sarah Williams married John Nickerson.
  2. Mercy Williams married William Nickerson.
  3. Elizabeth Williams
  4. Mary Williams
  5. Hannah Williams married first John Smith on 24 May 1667 in Eastham. [Ref, 4;33] She married second Thomas Mulford.

Second Generation

MERCY WILLIAMS

Parents: Thomas Williams and Elizabeth Tate

Mercy Williams married William Nickerson.

Samuel Smith assigned Mercy Nickerson a 19 Aug 1693 mortgage to two grandsons of Mattaquason for land on Cotchpinicut Neck in Chatham on 6 Mar 1694/5. She foreclosed and acquired the property. [Ref, p. 99]
