"When GH Palmer left the army they bought the farm in Illinois. Very primitive. J.E.H.P. got a pension of $20 a month. Ned moved in to help out. He married Gertrude Boomer (?) According to [Laura Carey Sibert] very beautiful. Julia Estelle moved in with R.P. Carey [Ruth Palmer Carey] and [Laura Carey Sibert] after RPC divorce 1907 or 8. they lived on So side of Chicago. [Laura Carey Sibert] was about 10-11. THey they moved to the north side where they lived for 6-7-8 years. [Laura Carey Sibert] went to Univ for girls prior to Farmington. When Chas. Noble died Mary [Palmer Noble] moved in with Ruth and [Laura Carey Sibert] was married by this time. [Laura Carey Sibert] remembers Mother Stevens [somehow associated with Julia Estelle]. Thought her name was Mary.
