Thomas was the son of Thomas and Ann Nelson. [Ref]
He was born on 26 Feb 1770 in Middleboro. [Ref]
Thomas married second Susannah's sister Nancy.
Thomas went to Bristol in 1801. He was a Baptist, and being unable to worship
there, he sailed for New York. A storm hit his ship and he was one of only
two survivors. He returned to Bristol and formed the First Baptist Church
there on 22 Aug 1811. [Ref]
