    2. Hope Howes died of small pox in the summer of 1747. [DRSY, p. 59] She married first Richard Sears on 15 May 1706 in Yarmouth. [MVRY][THY, p. 447][DRSY, p. 59, d. Samuel] She married second John Rich of Eastham. [DRSY, p. 59]
      In his will of 8 Jan 1722 Samuel Howes of Yarmouth left a bequest to his daughter Hope Sears. [DRSY, p. 60] Hope Rich, the former widow of Richard Sears, is mentioned in the settement of Richard's estate on 19 Sep 1723. [DRSY, p. 59] John Rich of Chatham was appointed guardian of Richard and Hope's son Paul. [DRSY, p. 59]
    3. Sarah Howes [OBGC, 8;239] was born about 1685 in Yarmouth. [DRSY, p. 60] She died on 9 Nov 1748, age 63, [OBGC, 8;239, w. Capt. Daniel] in Chatham. [DRSY, p. 60] She married Capt. Daniel Sears on 12 Feb 1708/9. [DRSY, p. 60] Daniel and Sarah are buried in the Oldest Burying Ground in Chatham. [OBGC, 8;239]
      In his will of 8 Jan 1722 Samuel Howes of Yarmouth left a bequest to his daughter Sarah Sears. [DRSY, p. 63]
    4. Mercy Howes died in 1720. [DRSY, p. 68] She married Josiah Sears (c, 1675 - 1727) on 3 Apr 1702 in Yarmouth. [MVRY]
